I have a weird little pistol in the safe--a Steyr Model 1908/34. No pics on hand, Google has photos. It is derived from the Peiper design, which has the recoil spring above the barrel and captive inside the slide. It functions and fires, and Triple K Magazines had a couple spares on hand in the early 1990s when I bought this thing. Remington SP primers are the only make that will fire reliably, and I tone things down to about 750 FPS with Lyman #311252. Historically, one of these pistols was used to assassinate Chancellor Dollfuss of Austria in 1934 by Austrian Nazis.
