What is your weather today?

Heat is back, to some extent--93* yesterday, 95* today. Very dry, a fan keeps things livable indoors. The girls just got back from the grocery store, though--and Seattlite daughter might clamor for the A/C.

........aaaand the A/C went back on as soon as the womenfolk got the groceries into the house. That Melissa is one persuasive step-daughter. Yes, I spoil her and the other girls ROTTEN.

She shoots and prefers her Glock 19.

Weather guessers are full of it. The forecast for the last four days was for a total of 2.5" of precipitation. We got a grand total of 2/10 inches.

Sixty two degrees with light NW wind, currently at 2 mph. Finally cooling down overnight. Just might start bowhunting, next week.

2/10"? Ya got more than me. It did get the bottom of the gauge wet though. Well, I'll just say damp not wet.

At 5:30 PM, yesterday, we got fifteen minutes of moderate rainfall. Other than that, the gauge was bone dry.

According to the weather folks, we got .18". I think it was a smidge more, like maybe .25". Need to move the old rain gauge to a new place. Trees have grown up around it.

I was up earlier than usual today, for some reason. Weather forecast calls for 87* high, 15% chance of showers later today and 35% tonight. If they say so......

Today's events include some hell-raising with a doctor or 2 over delayed medication deliveries. No more Mr. Nice Guy.

Overcast humid day 68*, with the occasional raindrop. Not enough to wet the pavement, just enough to feel miserable.

Been nice here too. Lots of rain interspersed with lots of sunshine and relatively mild temps. Trees are just about to turn, grasses have fully seeded.

We should see rain in Washington. Maybe Oregon. For sure none here.

High 70s today. Sunny and lower humidity than one would expect of the South.
Oaks have lost about 40% of their leaves, rest are well on their way to turning and falling. Many of our humming birds have been roosting in the oaks. I think some of our flock has flown the coop.

No weather here yet, but tonight's Raiders/Chargers game in Inglewood got delayed for 35 minutes due to lightning activity. Marie and Melissa went out about that time to get groceries and burritos from our favorite family Mexican food joint, and that big chile relleno burrito they brought me has induced a food coma of the first rank. So darn good. I bring this up only to point out that the girls saw all sorts of lightning flashing around to the west while they were out and about.

9:15 P.M. right now, and humidity is quite high (for a deserty joint like Redlands). The prediction for rain has bumped up to 70% now, so we'll see what develops. For some reason last night, the power went out at 7 P.M., and stayed that way for about 90 minutes. No weather at that time, no explanation given in the texts that SCE sent throughout the event. I turned the phone off once the power came back, what a passel of sapheads. If you're going to blow our phones up every 15 minutes with notices, maybe include some real info among the text.

Our male hummers have already left for the south. Yesterday, only seen one female. The day before, there were three. Writing is on the wall. Fifty six degrees, this AM. High is suppose to hit 80 degrees. Upper 80's Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Calling for rain, tomorrow. None in the 15 day, after that.

Took these, the other day of one of the females. Fattening up on the 3-1 sugar water.
