it's cloudy and cold enough for a couple more tonight.

found out the germans have a specific word for small poofy hail today?
well it was doing that while raining yesterday afternoon.

usually the middle 2 weeks of May are nice [i generally get in some rock chuck and ground squirrel shooting] the last week it gets cold again and may or may not snow.
but? who knows...
we are supposed to warm up to the mid-40's for the next few days and then snow or rain again this weekend... [shrug]
i need some good days cause i got stuff to do before the end of the month.

35 and pretty dense fog this morning. I don't care. My truck's in the shop and I can't pull the boat. Was supposed to shoot with Long Hunter yesterday morning but it was raining steadily. I have a funny feeling that above the fog it way be clear, so once the sun gets over the hills it may burn off the fog.

1.6 inches? I think John lives in the arid part of the state. Got 2 2/10 inches overnight here and more on the way. Couple of days ago I got 4 inches.

But was upper 40's overnight and supposed to almost hit 70. Full sun and blue skys V light breeze. One of the nicest days yet this season!

Had a lightning strike last night at about 2-something AM that must have been less than 100 yards from the back of the house. Rattled us but good.
Gotta fix that rain gauge, but it won't stop raining long enough to work on it.

About 4:30 this morning the thunder was shaking the whole house. You know the lightning is close when you see the flash and hear the thunder at the same time.
