What is your weather today?

And I was griping about the lichen and mildew dust sticking to the sun block I was wearing yesterday, and there's not a cloud in the sky this morning.

Yep, we're beginning our drying out period, starting today. Need to mow before next week's 90+ degrees temperatures hit.

Well it’s not drying out here. Rained yesterday afternoon and most of the night.
Had to go to the quarry this morning for a 6th load of gravel just to keep the road passable. I can haul 2.5 yards at a time.
Sounds like a lot of the service areas are washing out. Hoping the State will step up and declare something.
Anyway I’ve got some pictures of the retreat of the snow.
First picture is from late February then April 23rd, 30th and today the 7th of May.
Hopefully next Saturday all be be gone, maybe. Supposed to snow Monday and the temperatures are going down to the mid 40’s and mid 20’s at night for next week. Sucks. Could be another year without summer

Yeah I always joke about the two seasons in Alaska: Winter and 4th of July. This year might come close.

Woke up from a nap this afternoon and it was 82* in the house. But it was only 69* outside! So went through the normal ritual of the ac not starting up every year. Have to turn it off and on about 10x at the furnace. Then pull the batteries out of the thermostat a couple of times. Then it will usually take off. Then once winter gets close I have to do the same thing but with the heater. Once it goes it is fine. But neither like to start up after setting for months.

And the extra window unit died. Blowing hot and thats it. Only lasted 25years and was free. So out the the Home Depot and picked up a 5Kbtu GE window unit. And holy cow is that thing quiet! And it cooled the house down to 69* in about 2 hours. I think I need to get someone to come check the freon in the central air.

it climbed to 50, and started snowing.
yeah snow at 50-F.
those clouds blew out leaving it cold-humid when the Sun went down.
not even gonna guess what the temp is going down to tonight.

Super mild out, 58 at dawn. Some off and on rain yesterday with a grumble of thunder just before dark last night. Supposed to be 80's most of the week before returning more to normal the following week. There is even a 90 thrown in for good measure. Since I'll be in a boat Tues., Wed. and Thursday I can handle that.
