My buddy spotted some fishing gear for sale on market pace inn a bucket in the back ground he espied an Off Shore Planer board sticking out. Turns out there were 6 in there and we got all of them for 1/3 of new price. He sent me a link to the photo and I asked him about the trolling rod and reel. He hadn't really look at that. I called the shop and threw them a low ball offer and they accepted. I drove a fairly long way there, the wife and I listening to a Phillip Marlowe book down loaded on my phone and played through the car stereo.

When we got to the resale shop the owner showed me a large tackle bag filled with tackle boxes, filled with brand new crank baits, 85 of them. Plus there were dozens of brand new jigs, hooks, sinkers, swivels, three ways, river rigs, spools of line, jaw spreader, and more. Then there was a 7'10" telescoping trolling rod and a 20 Series Okuma line counter trolling reel. I made an offer of 300 for the lot and they took it. Rod, reel, and all of the tackle, lures, tackle boxes, bag etc. 45 of the crank baits are brand new Salmo Hornets which are an entirely European manufactured crank bait which start at 7 bucks a piece. There were another 27 Rapala Shad Raps that are also 7 bucks each and up.

With the tackle boxes of cranks I already have I feel a bit like the Imelda Marcos of lures right now, but I'll get over it.

Hey now, dadgummit, I resemble that remark! My battery-powered saw is awesome. It always cranks and runs, is quiet, and doesn't require much maintenance. If course I'd freeze to death if I had to cut firewood with it, but hacking through all the cedar brush here and keeping the driveway trimmed is no problem for it.
Just bought a 12" battery powered DeWalt chainsaw for limbing/small stuff.

I had thought of that for Limbing & such. Since I already have the Kobalt 80v battery & charger I looked at that one first. 23 pounds completely totally 100% eliminates the very purpose of a smaller lighter tool. Far better off with the 24 inch gas Husky. Looked at a couple of De Walt's, they are all now 20v, all my De Walt tools and charger are 18v, the saws I looked at don't come with the battery or charger.

So curious, what De Walt did ya get? Have ya tried it out yet?

We have a Stihl MSA 140 on order, but Ace Hdwe. has had two thers on order since last December so......

We want the electric for trimming trails and paths to and around the maples in our sugar bush. Prickly ash, goose berry, and black raspberry brush grows up quickly each year. You want to minimize getting scratched and especially tripping and spilling the jugs of sap. Sue tried the neighbor's MSA 140 and she can handle that well. She cannot pull start my smallest Stihl, an 021.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Rained all day yesterday. Wish I could send it out west where it's needed! Moved some sheep/goat fence, changed clothes. Did some work around the shop, changed shoes and socks. Made a trip to town, got wet between car and store. I'm tired of being one of the Soggy Bottom Boys!

Going to try adjusting the steering clutches on the skid steer today, moving a tractor front end assy to within welding distance and then getting the old MF65 over to where we can work on it and get the new sleeves/pistons in it. Hope I don't drown trying to do all this!

Haven't tried it out yet. It's the DCCS620P1. Comes with one 5Ah battery and charger. Weighs 9 lbs with battery.
Just put some bar/chain oil in it a couple of days ago. It's not going to get tried out until temps cool down to lower 80s.

Looked at Lowes online, couldn't find it, typed in that model number & nothing. Did online chat with Lowes, guy says I can't find it cause Lowes does not carry De Walt chainsaws. Damn, they got everything else De Walt. Well except for what they've replaced with Cheapo Craftsman.

All of my De Walt's are 18v thus the issue. Can be no doubt that a 20v tool is little better than an 18v. Only one reason for the switch . . . Buy all new tools.

confused.pngNo need to buy new tools. Just get the chainsaw in the kit with charger and 5 Ah battery. My newer Dewalt tool kit (drill, driver, sawzall, & flashlight) came with charger and only two 2 Ah batteries. If you want/need larger capacity you have to purchase separately.

Was range day here, also. Had to pull the SD cards out of trail cams.

This camera is about ten yards away from sand berm. So I took the 357 LCR and twenty rounds in speed loaders and emptied them. This was a new load, I put together the other day. Lyman's 9mm 120 TC, tapered crimped, using 6.2 grains of AA#2....................nice easy shooting load.

Just got an email from RCBS. They are now bundling primers with reloading die packages. Just a FYI...............aiming towards new reloaders, would be my guess.
