That is subtractive manufacturing which is pretty much the majority of what we do today. We
are working on additive manufacturing too, such as 3D printing. Most of the material properties
stink as does the precision of the shape and the surface finish. It will improve.
But, don't expect to pick up a Replicator at Walmart any time soon.
You are close to state of the art.....need a good TIG welder, or at least a oxy-acetylene
rig.
